Medical Interpreter Certfication, Made Easy
Simply put, there are three steps required. First, you must prove language proficiency. Secondly, you must complete a medical interpreter training program. Lastly, you take and pass a final exam. You can complete these steps with either of the two national certifying bodies, NBCMI or CCHI.

3 Steps to Become a Medical Interpreter
Get your Parrot rating.
It’s super fast and easy. A Parrot rating of ILR-2 or higher is a passing grade.
Do the required training.

Pass the final exam.
This is the last hurdle. Pass the tests required by either CCHI or NBCMI and you’re ready for duty!
